Mariana completed an Msc. in Wildlife Management in Costa Rica. Thereafter she enrolled in a PhD. Programme in Natural Resources and Anthropology at the University of Arizona. Mariana continues to study ways to make resource consumption more sustainable and is currently a research professor at the University of the Redlands in California.
