Update on Vodafone WOD winners

An update on the Vodafone World of Difference winners who are working at ZSL on the EDGE programme and in the Reptile House.

This week Marta has sent us a video that provide a glimpse of daily life in the Reptile House looking after the living collections. The video shows her feeding her a Parson’s chameleon which you really must watch! We are sure she will be sending us more videos over the next few weeks so keep a look out for them!

In the EDGE office Catherine and Camellia are continuing work on the EDGE Coral Reefs training programme that EDGE hope to run later this year in south-east Asia. Using the structure of a terrestrial training course that is currently being developed by other members of the EDGE team, Catherine and Camellia have been deciding which modules they need to adapt to make them relevent to a marine based course and making a start on the additional lecture material they need to teach coral monitoring skills. Catherine has also been very busy writing grant proposals which is a big part of everyday life within a conservation charity.

Since Catherine and Camellia work in the office during the day and only escape into the sunshine at lunchtime they don’t have any videos of them feeding animals to share with you! However, since one of the major perks of working in a zoo is being able to walk around the zoo at lunchtime and visit the animals, Camellia has taken a few photos of her favourite animals to share with you.
