The Natural History Museum (UK) has asked contributors to their exhibition – Coral Reefs: Secret Cities of the Sea – to share their passion for this underwater utopia and their hopes and fears for its future.

Nikita Shiel-Rolle, an EDGE Fellow and director of Young Marine Explorers, a non-profit organization that develops capacity in youth throughout The Bahamas is featured.

As an EDGE Fellow, Nikita works to empower youth through coral conservation and aims to quantify threats and determine the historical and present distribution of Dendrogyra cylindrus throughout The Bahamas.

It’s a fantastic video and highlights the threats facing coral reefs and the actions we need to take to halt their decline and conserve them for future generations.
